The Training
Learn and do different things
One of the many good things about our holistic fitness training is that it isn’t boring. You will
regularly learn something new. There will be challenges, but also satisfying rewards, as you
achieve your goals.
Personalised training
Your training will be highly personalised and tailored to your particular priorities and strengths.
For example, some people like to focus more on their overall fitness, while others want to
prioritise core strength and stability. Some people are more interested in self-defence.
Whatever emphasis you choose, development of a good level of holistic fitness is important. Personal sessions are available or you might wish to train in a small group, usually 2-6 people
Range of activities
The training we provide for you incorporates different activities. For example, breathing and
relaxation techniques, as well as stretching, are valuable aspects. You will learn and practice
martial arts techniques and exercises. These are very effective for enhancing your aerobic and anaerobic fitness, improving balance and coordination, and providing the bases
for your self-defence skills.
Your strength and other aspects of fitness will be further improved by a range of exercises
using your body weight, exercise balls and other simple aids. These are particularly good for
building functional fitness (fitness well matched to the demands of particular activities or physically active lives). They are
also important for conditioning your body, a key aspect of
self-defence capability.
While much of your training will be in the studio, some training outside is an option to take
advantage of the benefits of nearby parks.
